How To Create A Comic
This site uses "Pools" with category set to "series" for comics.
Overview
To publish a comic, you:
# Upload each comic page as a normal post.
# Create a pool with category "series".
# Add your page post IDs in the correct reading order.
Once saved, your comic appears in the Comics section and can be read in sequence.
Step 1: Upload Your Pages
Go to Posts -> Upload and upload each comic page.
Tips:
- Keep consistent page dimensions when possible.
- Add clear tags so pages are easy to find later.
- Upload pages in order if you can.
Step 2: Create The Comic Pool
Go to Pools -> New
Fill in:
- *Name:* Your comic title (example: my_awesome_comic)
- *Category:* series
- *Description:* Optional summary, chapter notes, credits, etc.
- *Post IDs:* Add the uploaded post IDs in reading order
Step 3: Add Pages In Correct Order
In the *Post IDs* field, paste post IDs one per line (or space-separated), ordered from first page to last page.
Example:
12345 12346 12347 12348
You can also paste full post URLs, and IDs will be parsed.
Step 4: Save And Verify
Save the pool, then open:
- Comics index
- Your comic page: /comics/POOL_ID
- Reader mode: /comics/POOL_ID/reader
Use the reader’s Next/Previous controls (and arrow keys) to verify order.
Editing Later
To update pages/order:
# Open your pool
# Click Edit
# Update Post IDs order
# Save
Best Practices
- Keep page order clean and final.
- Use a clear title and description.
- Use consistent tags across all pages.
- Avoid mixing unrelated images in the same comic pool.
Troubleshooting
- *Comic not showing in /comics:* Make sure pool category is series and pool is active.
- *Wrong reading order:* Reorder post IDs in the pool and save.
- *Missing page in reader:* Confirm the post still exists and is visible.
